Dual Mass Flywheel
Vehicle manufacturers use dual mass flywheels to reduce engine vibration and stop the transmission of the vibration to the drive train. This improves driver comfort, fuel economy and in helps to protect parts of the transmission. Due to the moving parts in a Dual Mass Flywheel they are more likely to fail than a Solid Flywheel.
